Recipe Development
We craft flavourful and functional recipes
Drinks Masters is behind great-tasting and functional brands like Jaga, Trip, Morph, and many more.
Phase 1:
Start with the liquid
Recipe Specifications: Define the core technical requirements of the liquid, including juice content, sweetness (Brix), pH, flavors, extracts, preservation, and sources for sugar, acid, and alcohol.
Ingredient Sourcing & Supply Chain: Procure sample ingredients from trusted suppliers while validating supply chain viability based on cost, quality, lead times, availability, and sustainability.
Iterative Sampling & Feedback: Develop and ship initial and refined recipe versions across two rounds of tasting, followed by structured feedback forms and virtual review sessions.
On-Site Finalization & Handover: Conduct an in-lab session to make final adjustments, officially sign off on the recipe, and deliver a comprehensive handover pack to initiate procurement and proof of concept production.
Phase 2:
Create an unforgettable brand
Brand Identity & Market Positioning: Develop the brand narrative, customer profiles, market adjacencies, and the core product brief.
Product Formulation & Testing: Define the technical specifications of the liquid, including preservation methods, Brix, pH, shelf-life, and microbiology.
Packaging & Design: Determine physical packaging formats and finalize the design for labels, sleeves, and printed packaging.
Financials & Feasibility: Assess small and large-scale production costs, draft the value chain, secure product insurance, and establish a foundational business plan with funding and investment strategies.
Go-To-Market & Growth Strategy: Define the team roles, map out routes to market, and formulate strategies for launch, profitability, and long-term business growth.
Phase 3:
Build the business engine
Commercial & Financial Review: Ensure the product meets commercial KPIs by developing launch and product P&Ls, finalizing small and large-scale value chains, establishing investment milestones, and setting up the supply chain.
Label Compliance & Formulation Data: Secure expert global labeling advice to guarantee accurate ingredient documentation, safety data sheets, allergen statements, nutritional tables, and sample physical label applications.
Packaging Procurement & Compliance: Finalize physical logistics by managing the procurement and verification of labels, barcodes, correctly sized boxes, and pallet configurations.
Ongoing Quality Assurance & Shelf Life: Implement a continuous testing plan featuring quarterly independent microbiology testing and monthly sensory evaluations to maintain agreed-upon aroma, appearance, and taste standards.
Phase 4:
From plan to production
In-House Manufacturing & Scalability: Leverage a fully owned production facility for small-scale pilot runs (up to 10,000 units/month) to test the market, validate the product, and seamlessly manage the transition to high-speed third-party packers as the brand scales.
Ingredient Verification & Safety: Conduct rigorous inbound quality control, including procurement calculations, safety data validation, storage inspections, and microbiological testing of all raw materials.
Batch Mixing & Quality Assurance: Execute a 1-liter specification and taste test before scaling to a full 1,000-liter mix, ensuring quality by monitoring pH and Brix levels and logging detailed production records.
Final Packaging & Assembly: Complete the manufacturing process by accurately applying labels or sleeves and securing the product into its finished packaging format ready for distribution.
Phase 5:
Launch and grow
Sales & Distribution Execution: Implement the go-to-market strategy by securing listings with targeted retailers and establishing efficient product fulfillment networks.
Marketing & Brand Activation: Launch integrated marketing and PR campaigns to build brand awareness, initiate product trial, and drive consumer adoption.
Performance & Feedback Loop: Collect and analyze sales data alongside consumer feedback to optimize product positioning and pricing strategies.
Scaling & Operations Management: Iterate on business processes to optimize the value chain, expand market reach, and pursue strategic growth funding or investment.
